Send Your Changes to the Committee on CB
  • They will look at
  • Your changes
  • Your current bylaws
  • They are concerned with
  • Legality
  • Consistency

Preliminary Report
  • Changes go to a subcommittee.
  • The Chair of the Committee writes a preliminary
    report necessary and suggested changes.

Make the Needed Changes
  • And take the suggestions you like.
  • The Committee on CB will not approve changes
    that are not legal and consistent with Society
    documents.
  • You will not get new bylaws until the Committee
    approves them, acting for the Council.

Vote
  • Have your members (MEMBERS and ASSOCIATE MEMBERS)
    vote on bylaw changes.
  • Send me the results.

Final Report
  • The Chair of the Committee on CB will write a
    final report if all the changes are legal and
    consistent with Society documents.
  • I will send you newly certified copies of your
    bylaws, including one with a distinctive orange
    cover.

Invalidate Old Bylaws
  • Return the old certified bylaws (with the
    distinctive cover) so that I can invalidate them
    and return them to you.

When All Does Not Go Smoothly
  • Interim reports.
