Title: How Have Musical Instruments Evolved Over Time
1How Have Musical Instruments Evolved Over Time?
2Directions
- The following twelve slides are pictures of
instruments from the Middle Ages. - The guitar that we just worked with evolved over
a course of many years. The basic idea of how it
produces sound is very old. The challenge here is
to link an old instrument to a instrument that is
played today. - Each group must type in the following
information on at least 2 of any of the 11
slides The information in blue is the answers
already done. Answer the questions that dont
already have blue text. - What might be a modern version of this ancient
instrument? - Answer the question about the possible pitch of
the instrument - Write a brief statement describing why you think
the modern day instrument you listed is related
to the old one in the picture. - Once your group completes 2 of the slides,
continue to work on other slides until the period
is over. If you have a question or need help,
please raise your hand.
