- Providing support and consultation to individuals
and family members to help them cope with the
emotional aspects associated with vision loss

- Rehabilitation teachers provide instruction in
daily living activities that promote independence - Communication skills

12Orientation Mobility
- The CNIB Orientation and Mobility instructor can
enable a person with vision loss to travel
independently with safety and confidence by
teaching independent travel skills, like white
cane techniques
13Low Vision Services
- Low Vision Specialists teach visually impaired
clients to effectively use their remaining vision
- This may include appropriate optical (e.g.
magnifiers) and non-optical aids (e.g. lighting)
to help the client reach his or her goals such as
reading

Proactive role with developers and vendors in the
