Title: Youth Engagement Services YES Network Pakistan
1 Youth Engagement Services (YES) Network Pakistan
- Transforming Youth from Victims to Social
Entrepreneurs
www.pnys.com
2Snapshot of our Work
- We have pioneered the concept of youth service
and youth social entrepreneurship in the country. - We train and engage youth and youth-serving
institutions in designing and implementation of
youth-led service projects/micro social
enterprises. - We provide an effective mechanism to youth to
re-integrate into the society as active-citizens
and not as citizens-in-waiting.
3The Need
- There is a youthquake in Pakistan, as 70 of the
total population is under the age of 29. - There are no separated programs or policies for
disadvantaged, half-educated, socially-excluded
youth in Pakistan. - Enormous talent, intelligence and positive energy
are being wasted as these young people are being
left behind. - Millions of young people are growing up without
any hope and desire in life and are falling into
disasters way.

workers at a very less expense. - Social Exclusion It combats social exclusion by
mainstreaming left-out youth. - Training Ground It provides an excellent
training ground for building good citizens.
13Innovative Features of our Program
- Service Delivery It develops a service delivery
mechanism for the poor and needy. - Employment Policy It contributes to employment
policy by providing work experience to youth. - Head-off Terrorism It is an effective way to

16Uniqueness of our Organization
17Testimonial
- In the words of Ms. Susan Stroud, CEO Innovations
in Civic Participation In a country where youth
comprise more than three quarters of the
population, where the cost of NOT creating
meaningful opportunities is felt the world
around, I can safely say that there is no youth
service program on the global scene that has more
promise than the PNYS.
18One last thought
- Young people have the potential to change their
communities. They lack only the support of
their elders to do it.
