  • Primary Registration
  • Hold down both buttons on the base until you hear
    a beep and both lights light up
  • On the handset, press the MENU soft key
  • Then press 6 for the REGISTRATION menu
  • Press 1 to register the handset
  • The handset will have a new ID number

  • 1 SN-920 handset can be registered to 4 SN-920
    bases
  • Each SN-920 base can accept 9 primarily
    registered handsets and 27 more secondarily
    registered handsets
  • These 36 handsets share access to all lines or

  • Renumbering (or resetting) a base unit
  • Hold down both buttons on the base until you hear
    a beep and both lights light up
  • On the handset, press the MENU soft key
  • Press 6 for the REGISTRATION menu
  • Press 3 to renumber the base unit and enter the
    number (1-4) that you want the base unit to be

  • Each handset can accept all calls, only calls
    from certain bases, or only calls that are 2-way
    radio calls or are transferred to them directly
  • Use this to establish a workgroup where the
    manager gets all incoming calls or you have a
    receptionist

  • Press 5 for SETTINGS
  • Press 6 for CALL MANAGER
  • It will say RECEIVE CALLS FROM BASE
  • Select Yes or No for each base unit and hit
    SAVE
  • You will still have access to 2-way calls,
    transferred calls, and to the outside lines

  • On the handset, press the MENU soft key
  • Then press 6 for the REGISTRATION menu
  • Press 1 to register the handset
  • The handset will have a new ID number
  • Handsets 10 and 11 are administrator handsets and
    have access to admin functions
  • You can also use the ADMIN -gt SYSTEM menu to
    determine the new handset ID of the next
    registered handset or remove a lost or broken
    handset from registration

  • Line Dedication
  • On the handset, press the MENU soft key on
    administration handsets 10 or 11
  • Press 9 for ADMIN menu
  • Press 1 for AUTO ATTENDANT
  • Press 4 for AA ON/OFF
  • Scroll down to select the Line that you want to
    dedicate (1-4)
  • Select OFF for the AA
  • Select YES to dedicate line
  • Enter the handset ID number or group number that
    you want to dedicate the line to

  • Press ADD and enter the group number that you
    want to become part of

  • From this menu you can record your Outgoing
    Greeting Message, set the number of rings and
    turn AA on or off by line
  • The EP-490 AA is designed for use in applications
    that do not have a PBX. For applications behind
    the PBX, turn the AA off on all lines (default
    setting)

External Antenna
  • Connector on the base unit, external antenna, and
    lightning protection kit are reverse-thread (left
    handed)
  • Install the external antenna 10 feet from
    obstacles either on a roof or from the rafters of
    a warehouse
  • Maintain 20 feet between external antennas (or
    base units if no antenna is used) to avoid
    interference. In applications with many users
    requiring many bases, use the EP-490.

Lightning Protection Kit
  • Use the lightning protection kit to redirect
    static discharges to ground
  • Replace the gas fuse in the LPK every year in

Helpful Hints
  • If mounting the base on a wall, tilt your base
    unit antenna at a 45 angle away from the wall
  • When installing the external antenna, uncoil all
    of the cable and create large 6-8 foot loops with
    any excess cable
  • The longer, fixed handset antenna will provide
    maximum coverage for both 2-way radio and
    telephone
