Research (MINT)

• a RD organization
• established in 1972 under the Ministry of
  Science, Technology and the Environment of
  Malaysia (MOSTE), recently (2004) changed to
  Ministry of Science, Technology and the
  Innovation (MOSTI)
• main objective
• - develop and promote peaceful applications of
  nuclear sciences and technology for
  socio-economic development in various sectors,
  namely, industry, agriculture, manufacturing,
  health and the environment.

Regional Cooperative Agreement

• RCA Agreement was established in 12 June 1972
• Malaysia became a Member States of IAEA on 1969
• Malaysia became a Member States of RCA on 6
  February 1975 until now
• RCA programs/ activities are coordinated
  nationally by MINT as one of the TC Program for
  Malaysia

Technical Co-operation Program

• Main Objectives
• To manage and coordinate the involvement of
  Malaysia in all activities of Technical
  Cooperation under multilateral, regional and
  bilateral programs for the strengthening of
  nuclear science and technology applications in
  Malaysia
• To facilitate the implementation of projects
  related to nuclear science and technology by
  establishing and coordinating technical linkages
  and cooperation between MINT and relevant
  agencies in Malaysia

In May 2004 - MINT has been awarded ISO90012000
Certification for The Management of IAEA TC
Programme in Malaysia-
