  • Rationale THE WHY
  • YGT is concerned to ensure that a wide range of
    services and opportunities is made available on
    a national, regional and local basis to ensure
    that the needs of aspiring and perspiring GT
    learners are met.
  • This isnt just education this is GT
    education!
  • We work in partnership with providers to ensure
    that such services are GT-worthy, according to
    clear criteria and quality assurance procedures.
  • Events offered should be specifically tailored to
    meet the needs of YGT membership and should meet
    some or all of the following criteria

  • 1.       Overall purpose
  •   Raise aspirations by introducing work at
    higher levels than usually encountered in schools
    or introducing new dimensions of a subject
  •   Broaden horizons by exposure to new areas of
    investigation or study
  •    Raise aspirations by enabling students to
    work with experts in a given field
  • Study specific focus in significant depth
  • Targeted at top 2 or 5 or 10

  • Tutors name and role
  • and then validated as Yes or Possibly or Not
    Yet or No
