Aim of multi-sector partnerships

• To initiate networking, partnership working and
  projects which will improve the accessibility and
  quality of health information for the public

• To bring together a range of people from all
  sectors with an interest in health information
  for the public
• To identify what is already happening in the area
  in order to avoid duplication of effort or
  resources
• To focus on health priorities relevant to the
  local area and to help address inequalities.

• People need information in order to make choices
  about their healthcare
• Strengthen partnerships between sectors
• Provide community based support for people
  accessing information
• Make health information more widely available in
  local communities
• The NHS should work with partners to increase the
  frequency and access of healthy living and local
  service information

New Pharmacy Contracts

• All pharmacies will host 6 health campaigns each
  year co-ordinated centrally by SHA Public
  Health and Health Promotion staff
• All pharmacies must be able to signpost customers
  to health information www.equip.nhs.uk

Commissioning a Patient-led NHS by partnership
working

• Build on partnerships with local government to
  promote health and wellbeing and tackle
  inequalities
• Address health issues include housing and
  education at neighbourhood or locality level
• Stronger public health networks joint
  appointments in public health between PCT and
  local government
