2French and Indian war
The French and Indian war started in 1754 and
ended in 1763.This war was know as the seven
years war. The British land the French and
Indians owned. So they went to war with the
British because they were going on there land.
After the war the British were in debt. So they
made the colonist pay taxes
3Proclamation of 1763
The Proclamation of 1763 was a law that the
British made that stated the colonist were not
aloud to go west of the Appalachian Mountains.
The colonist were mad so they retaliated by going
across anyways. The British said hey were not
going to fight another war for you. So they sent
troops over to guard the colonist to make sure
there not going across.
4Stamp act
- The stamp act was passed by the British
Parliament march 22 1765. The stamp act required
the colonist to pay a tax on every printed piece
of paper they used. the colonist were mad So the
Virginia house of burgesses made the Patrick
Henry stamp act resolve. It stated that you were
aloud to be taxed by your own kind.
5TownShend act
- The Townshend act was a tax on special items such
as Lead, paint, paper, glass, and tea imported by
the colonist. This made the colonist angry. Later
on all taxes were repealed except for the tax on
tea. The colonist then boycotted all English
items.
6Boston Massacre
- The Boston massacre all started when the colonist
started calling the British soldiers names. Then
some called out fire and know one knew who said
it, but the British soldiers turned around and
fired there guns into the crowd. Seven Months
later the colonist brought the troops to court
for murder. The troops were acquitted of all
charges.
7Tea act
- The Tea act was a tax placed on tea buy the
British. The colonist were mad some colonist
excepted the tax others bought from a different
country for higher prices just to avoid giving
the British more money. This all lead up to the
Boston tea party.
8Boston tea party
- Several Men rowed there boats out to the Boston
tea ships. They climbed on board and dumped ten
thousand pounds of tea into the water. This event
was know as the Boston tea party.
9Intolerable act
- There were five parts to the intolerable act the
quartering act, the Boston port act, the
administration of justice act, the Massachusetts
government act, and the Quebec act. These all
effected the colonist.
