19But the one who looks into the perfect law, the
law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer
who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be
blessed in his doing. (25)
20It is when we face ourselves and face Christ,
that we are lost in wonder, love and praise. We
need to rediscover the almost lost discipline of
self-examination and then a re-awakened sense of
sin will beget a re-awakened sense of wonder.

22LIVE the Truth
But be doers of the word and not hearers only.
(22) religion that is pure and undefiled
before God the Father is this, to visit the
orphans and widows in their affliction (27) If
you know these things, blessed are you if you do
them. (John 1317)
23When pure religion is mentioned in the Bible
the Greek literally means to move with
expectation, to search. When Greek writers like
Herodotus used this word, they used it in the
context of religious conduct or practice with
particular emphasis on the zealousness of such
practices.
- The International Standard Bible Encyclopedia

care of, to see to to be present to help, to be
on hand to aid.

practically live out the Christian life.
