flows - Drivers assistance for proactive and fuel saving
driving - It will be analysed and evaluated
- The advantages for fleet managers and suppliers
by lower transport costs and better reliability - The advantages for society and environment
through better traffic flow and energy saving

- Provision of dynamic traffic information will be
adapted to the use within road transport - Realisation of dynamic traffic information will
be connected to the traffic management operator

6Driver assistance
- Driver assistance systems can use actual or
expected traffic situations to influence the
drivers behaviour on certain trips. - Traffic situations in these cases could be
traffic light status now or in short-term future
(detected and statistical calculated)
7Disposition and actual tour execution
- traffic information from previous periods and
data can be processed within tour planning for
time and routing related shift of truck-trips - Actual traffic information can help to identify
delays in time - The tour planner/ transport manager can react
then in the best way
8Solutions use cases field study
- Solutions will be developed in close
collaboration with the logistics service partner
Schober Transport GmbH - The developed systems and services will be tested
in day to day business - Traffic information on the service region
Ruhrgebiet will be used - A research oriented evaluation will check
influences on different involved persons and
their acceptance for the systems

- Needed conditions and possible influences on
different levels like supplier, customer, traffic
management or other logistic areas will be
analysed - Transfer potential and test results will be
checked and evaluated
