1. Military folks who live in on-base housing
they receive housing at no cost they receive no
cash housing allowance the value of the housing
benefit is not reflected on their earnings
statement.
Result the value of their housing is NOT income
for purposes of making income determinations.

they do receive a cash housing allowance and the
cash allowance is reflected on their earnings
statement.
Result the value of the cash housing allowance
IS income for purposes of making income

provided by a contractor under agreement with the
military they receive housing at no cost they
do NOT receive any cash housing allowance
however, their earnings statement does reflect
the value of the housing.
