Title: Finding Christ in all the Scriptures

1
Finding Christin all the Scriptures
  • Luke 2425-27, 32, 44-49

2
How foolish you are and how slow of heart to
believe all that the prophets have spoken! Did
not the Christ have to suffer these things and
then enter his glory! And beginning with Moses
and all the Prophets, he explained to them what
was said in all the Scriptures concerning
himself. Were not our hearts burning within
us while he talked with us on the road and opened
the Scriptures to us?
3
This is what I told you while I was still with
you Everything must be fulfilled that is
written about me in the Law of Moses, the
Prophets and the Psalms. Then he opened their
minds so they could understand the Scriptures.

  • as Scripture (Sermon on the Mount/Emmaus)
  • and refers to the Psalms as Scripture in Luke 24,

Then
42
He sprang out of the earth, all of a piece,
43
a rare and unusual birth
44
with the breath of God
45
tingling in his mouth
46
and then he died.
47
Perhaps someone, somewhere, cried.
48
HE sprang out of the womb and hastened to
the tomb.
49
Some there were who cried, when he
died.
50
But then when all seemed lost he cheated death
51
defeated it destroyed it with his
all-inspiring breath.
52
Then came Spring.
