Religious People Eventually Killed Him. Why?
11Most People Misunderstood and Rejected Jesus.
Jesus said that he came to send a sword, to
bring division, not to make everyone feel good
by refusing to make them feel guilty about
their sins. Matthew 1034-39

generation (Matt. 1241) On the Pharisees
(Matt. 23) On Jerusalem (Matt. 24) On all the
disobedient (Matt. 2531-46)
15Conclusion
A scheme of Satan has always been to cry out
against the truth as being controversial, causing
confusion, disturbing the general peace of the
church and filling the world with division and
strife. Must truth never speak because those in
error take offense?
16Conclusion
Love which tries to ignore or downplay the
divisive nature of truth is not biblical love.
True love aims at making men feel the guilt they
have so that they can be freed from it through
repentance and obedience to Jesus teachings.
17Conclusion
It is not our responsibility as Bible teachers to
make the gospel palatable or acceptable. It is
our responsibility to make the gospel available!
