6.x Renewal Requirements
  • Please submit a Renewal Form when renewing 6.x
    Agreements.
  • This process applies to all 6.x Select Agreements
    and EA Enrolments.
  • This is a one-time option and successive renewals
    of existing agreements are not permitted.
  • Submission Process
  • EA For each enrollment a Customer Price Sheet
    (CPS) or Manual Order Form and a Renewal Form is
    required
  • Select For each master agreement a Renewal Form
    is required and LAR places Renewal Order through
    MOET

Enterprise Agreements (EA) Enterprise Agreement
Subscription (EAS)
  • Renewal orders will need to include the
    followings
  • Enterprise products Total number of desktops
    owned as of the renewal order date plus un-trued
    up PCs added in year 3. Customers may true down
    PC counts upon renewal
  • New Enterprise products may not be added or
    removed upon renewal. A new enrollment is
    required to change the Enterprise product mix
  • Additional products Total number of licenses
    owned as of the renewal order date plus
    un-ordered Licenses in year 3 that customers
    desire to renew
  • Renewal price will be based on the price in
    effect as of the customer usage date on the
    renewal order (manual), unless a CPS is provided
    upon renewal
  • If the customers desktop count reaches a
    different price level upon renewal, the new price
    level will apply. The price and price level will
    be locked for the renewal term

EA EAS Timelines
  • EA Enrollment customers will be notified 60 days
    prior to the expiration date of their renewal
    option. (Notifications are not sent to the EA
    Master as the agreement is perpetual.)
  • Each enrollment must submit a EA renewal form and
    CPS/Manual Order Form to renew within 30 days
    following the expiration date
  • A credit check is required for all Direct EA
    renewals

Credit Application Process
  • Account Team emails apoccred_at_microsoft.com
    indicating customer intention to renew including
    the following information
  • Legal Entity Name of Customer
  • Customer Billing Address
  • Master Agreement enrollment number
  • Estimated Sales Volume per year for period of
    renewal
  • Credit Collections will advise AM/LS within 5
    days if review is positive renewal can proceed
  • Note if customer name has changed /or Sales
    Volume is increasing a full credit review may be
    required

  • Form has to be signed by EA Enrollees
  • 2 Copies of the signed form need to be submitted
    to Microsoft via channel partners
  • Form submission due is within 30 days after the
    expiration date
  • The EAS requires a different form

Select License
  • Select Master and Enrollment co-terminate
  • The Master customer is given the option to renew
    for 12 or 36 months
  • This option is not available to the enrollee
  • When the Master is renewed, all enrollments will
    be automatically renewed
  • The agreement can be renewed only once after the
    initial agreement term
  • Master customer has to submit a Select Renewal
    Form within 30 days following the expiration. It
    is highly recommended that the Master customer
    submits the form immediately to Microsoft so its
    affiliate have enough time to place a renewal
    order.
  • The Enrollment customer has to submit an SA
    renewal order within 30 days following the
    expiration.
  • L or LSA orders can be placed at any time during
    the renewal term
  • The 30 days grace period is for SA renewal order
    submission.
  • Enrollments will not expire regardless of whether
    a renewal order is placed within 30 days, as L or
    LSA orders can be placed throughout the renewal
    term
  • LSA, SA annual prices are fixed based on the
    pricing in effect as of the customer usage date
    on the renewal order

Select License Timelines
  • Both the Master and Enrollment customers will
    receive a renewal reminder notification 60 days
    prior to the expiration date
  • The Master customer will then need to submit a
    Renewal Form to Microsoft within 30 days after
    expiration
  • When the form is submitted, Microsoft will notify
    all enrollees of their renewal option
  • The Enrollments will submit a SA renewal order
    within 30 days following the expiration. L or
    LSA orders can be placed at any time during the
    renewal term.

    1, 2004 price list
  • Existing SKU Name (with SPS License) Core CAL,
    Desktop Pro
  • New SKU Name (without SPS License) Core CAL 6.x
    renewal, Desktop Pro 6.x renewal
  • Customers starting a new enrolment from 5.x
    Enterprise Agreements should use the existing SKUs

  • Prior to November, 2004 - Software Assurance
    Renewal SKUs are available as add-at signing
    only
  • Beginning November, 2004 - Software Assurance
    Renewal SKUs for 1 year remaining, 2 year
    remaining, and 3 year remaining will be
    available
  • These SKUs can be used when customers are
    renewing FPP/OEM licenses into Software Assurance
    or when customers are renewing Software Assurance
    from expiring agreements into mid-term Enterprise
    Agreement additional products
