Teacher Responsibilities

• Provide classroom instruction
• Correlate instruction with the SAE
• Encourage high standards
• Promote accurate record keeping
• Visit and supervise SAE programs
• Provide suggestions for improvement
• Educate school administrators and employers about
  SAE

Encouraging Students

• Send a letter to incoming students and their
  parents welcoming them to the program and letting
  them know what can be expected in agricultural
  education. Specifically tell about SAE and FFA.

• Teach a 3-5 day unit on SAE during the first
  month to all incoming students. One part of the
  lesson should be to have students list how THEY
  will benefit from having a SAE program.
