• Leave some areas undefined
• Offers choices for other areas

• Data Host - may be a general network server
  (HTML, DB, E-mail)
• or
• a specialized function using a non-standard
  protocol (over IP)
• For specific applications a data host may not be
  available for test

Data Path

• One or more MRs
• One or more MDPs
• BSS, RFS, RFG, CON, ES and the PSTN
• Full interoperability matrix is unmanageable

Solution (from WG)

• The Mobile Radio is the only UUT
• Use laptops as the MDPs
• Lab configuration will include standard FNE
  (RTS approach)
• Tests will be a combination of generally used
  functions and special software to test that full
  capability is present
