Directions
  • This will be a little help to you on the PSSA
test and we hope this will make you have a better
vocabulary in math. I hope you enjoy our project
so get ready for our amazing power point.

Acute Angle
  • An angle measuring between 0 and 89 degrees.

4
Area
  • The amount of units in a figure.

5
Chord
  • A line segment with its end points on the circle.

6
Circumference
  • The perimeter of a circle, the distance around
it. Found by diameter times PI.

7
Cone
  • A three dimensional figure with one vertex and
    one round face.

8
Composite Number

equal sides and another side. A Scalene triangle
is a triangle with no equal sides.

23
Leg
  • Either of the two sides that form the right
    angle in a right triangle.

24
Line of symmetry
  • A line of symmetry is a line that can go through
a shape and both sides are equal.

25
Mean
  • Mean is the same as the average of a set of
    data.
  • 5,7,8,2 4.4

26
Median
  • The number in the middle of a set of data.
  • 4,5,6,8,7

27
Mode
  • The number that occurs most often in a set of
    data.
  • 6,6,5,4,3,7,6

28
Multiples
  • A number that is the product of 2 numbers being
    multiplied. 4 x 5 20.

29
Negative Numbers
  • Numbers that are below zero.
  • - 4

30
Net
  • A 2-D figure that can be folded into a polyhedron.
