Title: The REMAPS System
1The REMAPS System
- A product of the REMAPS Real Estate Services
Corporation
2Public User
- Users access the web site at http//remaps.net or
http//remaps.info - A map of the State of Florida is displayed and a
search engine with a drop-down menu requesting a
county name is shown. - Users are also afforded the opportunity to log in
with a user name and password from this page.
3Public User (continued)
- The following slides, while not exactly
demonstrating the appearance of the working
ArcIMS site, are presented to give an idea of the
concept of the REMAPS System.

10Public User (continued)
- The generic, Public REMAPS GIS Map contains the
following elements - Parcel Map
- Highways
- Water Bodies and Water Courses
- Railroads
- County Boundaries
- City Limits
11Public User (continued)
- If the user chooses to enter the public portal,
the desired county is displayed in its entirety. - The user is given the opportunity to choose
properties for sale from within a specified price
range. - After the price range is selected, the user may
also narrow the search by specifying the type of
property being sought (residential, commercial or
industrial).
12Public User (continued)
- Once the preliminary selections have been made,
the system lights up all parcels in the selected
county which meet the selection criteria. - The user can then zoom into neighborhoods of
interest and view all of the properties for sale.
13Public User (continued)
- Once the user has found a property in which he or
she is interested, the user can then click on
that property and the system displays a small
portion of the standard demographic data from the
12-B-8 information which has been abbreviated
into a unified schema. - At this point, the screen displays a button
labeled More Information. When the user presses
this button, the System registers a Hit for
that parcel and the name of the listing agent and
the listing agents company is shown together
with more complete demographic data.
14Public User (continued)
- The information described above is displayed in a
window that can be printed out with a Print
button. - The window also shows a Request More
Information button that will allow for the user
to contact the listing agent. - When the Request More Information button is
pressed, a Super-Hit is logged.
15Public User (continued)
- For Super-Hits the user is then given the
opportunity to provide the following information
which is then made available to the listing agent
via the REMAPS System Lead Board - Name
- Address
- City
- State
- Zip
- Phone number
- Email address
16Public User (continued)
- If the user fails to provide at least a telephone
number or email address this is considered to be
a Blind Hit and does not create a Super-Hit. - A Super-Hit generates the following actions
- The owner of the property under consideration is
sent a notification email - The listing agent is notified by email and/or
cell phone text messaging that the Hit has
occurred and - The data given by the user for the Super-Hit is
posted on the REMAPS Lead Board at the address of
the listing agent.
17Summary for Public Users
- REMAPS is paid on a Per-Hit basis therefore,
these Hits are registered in a database and the
listing agent is billed for the Hits and
Super-Hits. - This concludes the Public User section.
18Introduction to the Registered User Section
Listing Parcels
- The Registered User REMAPS GIS Map contains all
of the data elements of the generic, REMAPS GIS
Map. - Registered user enters information about each
property to be listed. - There is no charge for entering listings.
- After logging in with a user name and password,
the user clicks on the property to be listed.
19Introduction (continued)
- If the Registered User cannot find the desired
property, a search engine will be provided to
allow the Registered User to find the property by
its parcel number. - On the listing page a check box is available that
species whether or not the person making the
listing is willing to pay a commission to real
estate agents who sell the property.
20Introduction (continued)
- The system mines the parcel number and other data
from the 12-B-8 information associated with the
parcel map. - After the system returns the data on the property
of choice, the user is prompted to complete the
fact sheet as shown on the following slides. - Note The following slides do not call for the
Owners phone number email address, each of
which should be added.
