2Log on to Time and Attendance
Using Internet Explorer browser type in
URL http//www.psc.gov/itas/index.html Click on
the appropriate link for your OPDIVs ITAS
Coordinator. NOTE Only use the navigation
buttons in ITAS. Do not use the browser buttons
(such as the back arrow button) to navigate in
ITAS. The only browser button compliable with
ITAS is the Printer button.
3ITAS Logon Screen
As a new user Logon using your ITAS LAN ID and
you generic password set by your ITAS
Coordinator. Your ITAS LAD ID is the first
letter of your first name, the first and second
letter of your last name and last 5 digits of
your social security number. i.e. John Doe,
SSN000-07-8999 jdo78999 Once you are logon
the system will prompt you to enter a new
password (eight to ten characters in
length). Current users Logon with you ITAS LAND
ID and password

Maintaining Organization information.
6DASHBORAD
Employee access is control by the Admin Codes in
which you have been assigned access. Employees
are in alpha order to change order to SSN click
on tab marked SSN. Click on the tab Personal to
change alpha order from ascending to
descending. You will need to use the scroll
bars at the bottom of the screen and to the right
of the screen. Using right scroll bar check to
be sure you have all your employees.
7Dashboard continue
Using the scroll bar at the bottom of your screen
look at all the different headings. Clicking on
the headings only changes the order from
ascending to descending or vise versa.
8ADD NEW EMPLOYEE Profile
- Click on New Emp
- Type in Social Security Number without dashes
- Click on New
- Click OK
9New Emp Personal Tab
Complete each field Boxes with beside them
indicates that this is mandatory information.
ITAS will not let you leave the profile until all
mandatory information is completed. Even though
the Email Address is not mandatory it should be
completed in order for employee to received
emails concerning leave request. Click OK
10Confirmation Screen
Screen appears after every change made to
employee profile or timecard. You have the
option to turn off the confirmation screen by
checking the box.
11NEW Emp Profile - Payroll
- This information is required to assure employee
will be paid correctly. - Complete all required boxes.
- Boxes with are mandatory.
- Although the Service Computation Date box is not
mandatory ITAS cannot determine when an
employees leave category should change if it is
left blank. - Click OK
- Click on Create Leave Balance
12New Emp Profile Tour of Duty
- Information used to create timecard.
- Tour Type click on down arrow and choose type.
Then click GO button. - ITAS will pre fill boxes in accordance with tour
type chosen. - Only employees on a Flexible or Variable work
schedule can earn credit hours. - Boxes with are mandatory.
- Click on the appropriate leave category.
- Click on Required Lunch Break for full time
employees.
13New Emp Tour of Duty continue
- Check Distribution of Biweekly Basic Work
Requirement to assure employees start and end
times and tour hours are correct. Flexible and
Variable work schedules start and end times are
not required. - This is what is used to populate the employee
timecard. - If you change tour type then you must

- Update employee tour start and end times.
- Update tour hours
- Click OK
14New Emp-Timecard
New employees will not have a timecard in ITAS
until you click the create timecard button.
15New Emp-Create Timecard
Tour of Duty Tab is where you will create
employees timecard once you have updated tour
information and received confirmation. Click on
Create Timecard Once timecard has been created
the button will no longer appear on screen.
16NEW Emp-Options Screen
Use to identify employees who are Timekeepers,
Approving Officials or Administrative Officers
(ITAS Coordinators) in ITAS. Click on the box (s)
to set the employees access level. A 5 digit
timekeeper number must be entered if the employee
is a Timekeeper. Click OK
17New Emp-Leave Balance Screen
- New employee annual and sick leave accrual will
be updated automatically at end of pay period. - Far right hand side of screen were it say
Annual enter 240 maximum carry-over - If employee has previous service leave balances
then you will update this screen as appropriate
once leave has been updated in DFAS. - Projected Annual Leave Balances are determined by
employees annual leave category and pay period
in which employee enter on duty. - Click on More to see additional leave options.
18New Emp Leave Balance continue
- Click on Begin Balance and enter total amount of
annual leave that will be earned by employee
through end of leave year. - ITAS defaults leave restrictions in certain leave
categories. i.e. FLMA, etc - ITAS requires you enter a Remark relating to
update of balances - Click OK button to update balances.
19Timecard
- Check new employees timecard. Tour hours and
Regular hours should match. - You will notice pay period date box. This will
allow you to switch to previous pay period and
review that pay periods timecard once employee
has more then one pay period to review. - Exit Click on Dashboard.
20Leave Request
- From Dashboard scroll over to Leave request
column and click on word request for selected
employee. - For more leave types click on the button and
this will give you additional leave options as
they pertain to the employee. - You can now enter a remark on your leave request.
- Existing Requests will list any existing leave
request.
21Leave Request - continue
Complete start date and end date. If partial day
must complete start time and end time. Click on
the box beside the leave option and enter the
number of hours requesting. Although ITAS has
many options an employee will see only options
that pertain to that employee. Click OK to
submit leave request. Email is automatically
sent to the Approving Official notifying them of
employee leave request.
22Relationships-Approving Official
Change supervisor/employee relationship just
click on the box beside employees name adds or
removes the relationship. Click OK to
update. Click the down arrow button to change
from supervisor/employee to supervisor/alternate
supervisor relationships. Click GO to change.
23Relationships-Timekeeper
Change Timekeeper/employee relationship just
click on the box beside employees name adds or
removes the relationship. Click OK to
update Click down arrow button to change from
timekeeper/employee to timekeeper/alternate
timekeeper relationships. Click GO to change.
24LTP-Donations
Leave Transfer Program use for donations of
leave or to setup an employee under a voluntary
leave transfer program. ITAS indicates number of
hours available for donation and hours already
donated. Go to section Donations click on
down arrow and select employee/reason for whom
you wish to donate leave. Tab to Hours Type
click on down arrow and select type of hours. Tab
to hours enter number of hours. Date should
default to day of request. Click OK
25LTP-New Account
Leave Transfer Program use for donations of
leave and to setup an employee under a voluntary
leave transfer program. Go to section Accounts
click on down arrow and select reason. Tab to
Emergency Type click on down arrow and select
type of emergency. Tab to Begin Date enter date
of emergency. End Date should not be completed
until employee has returned to duty full
time. Click OK
26LTP-New Account Added
New Account has been established for
employee. You will see reason, emergency type and
begin date. Also see column for end date,
Received, Used and Available leave and close
box. If you close the account by accident it can
be reopen.
27Organization Tab
Used to modify or add new organization
information. Click on organization To modify
different organizations, select the appropriate
organization. Click GO button to display the
information. Modify information Click OK
28Organization New
Scroll to bottom and click on New to add Add new
organization type in organization code. Tab to
abbr enter in organization abbreviations. Tab
to Description enter organization complete
description. Tab To Common Account Number enter
number beginning with first digit for fiscal
year. (i.e.9Z111111) Lunch Duration equals
0.50 Click box for Mass Approval and Global leave
posting. Click OK
29Organization-Add continue
- Once confirmation has been completed new
information should be checked for accuracy. - If accurate click on dashboard to exit.
- You must request access to new organization codes
in order to see employees in that organization.
Do this by completing new ITAS Coordinator form
and submitting it to ESS Helpdesk.
30REPORTS
ITAS offers variety of reports. Click on
Reports Select a report by clicking on down arrow
in Reports box. Fill in applicable parameter.
Only applicable parameters are used for each
report. Others will be ignored. Click OK The
requested report will open in new browser
window. To print the report user the browser
print function.
