Activity The students will go through the slide
presentation and read the story. They will look
for clues to predict what will happen next.
Procedure 1. Read through the slides and discuss
them with the children. 2. Use the pen to
underline possible clues to help
make predications. 3. The student will complete
the ending to the story.

that will help you predict certain things in a
given story.
5Read the beginning of the following story. Look
for clues to help predict certain details that
are not given in the reading.
6On a cold, damp day a little boy was walking down
a dirt road. He saw a frog hopping down the side
of the road. Im going to catch that
frog . said the boy.
Where did this story take place. Circle the
correct picture.
7The boy really wanted to catch the frog. He had
nothing but his lunch pail to put the frog in.
He didnt have anything else handy that would
hold a frog. He decided to catch the frog with
his bare hands and put it in his pocket. He had
to hurry because he still had over two miles to
walk before he made it to school. He could not
be late.
