Labs and Safety

• Students in this class will be doing many
  laboratory activities. It is crucial that we have
  a safe science classroom. Therefore, students and
  parents will be asked to sign a district adopted
  middle school student safety contract.

• International System of Units (metric) will be
  used when measuring, calculating, generating, and
  using tables and graphs.

Human Growth and Development

• All sixth grade teachers will be teaching the
  ten lessons that are contained in the Scottsdale
  Unified School District Growth and Development
  Education Curriculum. Students are grouped in
  classes by gender. There is no homework and we do
  not give grades for this unit of study.
