The 2007 Writing AssessmentAnswer Documents

• The TCAP Writing Assessment has two answer
  documents this year.
• The majority of the students will take the test
  on the blue answer document.

The 2007 Writing Assessment Answer Document

• The Tennessee Alternative Writing Assessment has
  a lilac answer document. This answer document is
  for use only with students who qualify for this
  program as outlined in the TCAP-Alt Special
  Education Participation Guidelines.

• The Writing Assessment Answer Document has a new
  look.
• The first student demographic page has a
  landscape layout and is very similar to the other
  TCAP tests.
• Use the Test Administration Manual to accurately
  record student information.

• Students are not to write responses on pages one
  or two of the Writing Assessment answer document.
• Only student responses on pages three and four of
  the answer document will be scored.

• The Writing Assessment answer document has bar
  code identification labels. These labels are
  school specific and should not be exchanged
  between schools.

Absent Students

• The TCAP Writing Assessment does not have a
  separate Absentee Form this year.
• A student is identified as absent if they were
  not present on both the regular and make-up
  Writing Assessment day.

Absent Students

• On the answer document darken the absent circle
  in the Absentee Status Box.
• A blank student response on pages three and four
  will receive a score point of zero unless the
  absent bubble is filled in.
• Students who refuse to test should not be coded
  as absent.

Sheet

• The Writing Assessment Group Information Sheet
  has a new look.
• The GIS is green and has a portrait layout.
• This GIS can be used for both the regular answer
  documents and the Tennessee Alternative Writing
  Assessment Answer Documents.

• The School Group List is a form that may be
  reproduced.
• The information should match what is written and
  coded on each Test Administrators Group
  Information Sheet.
• List only one school on this form and return on
  the top of the materials in the school box.
