Maggie Grant

• How was your experience as a student at Canutillo
  High School?
• I was involved in many things, such as
  basketball and cheerleading. I was also president
  of the student council. I loved having the
  opportunity to be in these things, it was
  awesome. I still had time to spend with my
  family.
• How is your experience at Jose Damian?
• It is wonderful, I work with professionals and
  children that are eager to learn and with a
  community involved with their children's
  learning.
• Tell me about your family?I have 2 daughters and
  2 grand daughters
• What are your hobbies?
• Reading, playing with my dog, doing puzzles and
  listening to Jazz.
• Anything else you want to add?
• I am very proud to be back in Canutillo as a
  principal and sharing my experience as a educator
  and learning from my students and teachers I work
  with.

BECKY ROOD

• Becky Rood has been a teacher for 30 years. She
  has taught 3rd, 4th, 5th, and high school. She
  liked teaching 1st grade. Becky Rood loves being
  a teacher and she says it is fun too.
• She lived in New Mexico. She has been married for
  24 years. She has 3 step children and she also
  has a dog. For fun she reads, she goes to garage
  sales, walks and does crossword puzzles.

Mrs. Becky Rood passed away in February 2009. We
will all miss her.

Melissa Keithly

• Melissa Keithly has been teaching for 30 years.
  She has taught 3rd, 4th, and GT. She enjoys and
  loves being a teacher. She liked teaching GT the
  most.
• Mrs. Keithly had a normal childhood in a small
  city. She has been married for 36 years and has 3
  children. A son thats a truck driver, a daughter
  who was a public defender and her youngest was in
  Vietnam teaching children. She exercises and
  reads for fun and likes being a Canutillo Eagle.

Annie Gutierrez

• She has been teaching for 28 years. She has
  taught 1st grade bilingual, junior high, high
  school. She is now an assistant librarian. She
  enjoys being a librarian and likes working with
  kids.
• She lived in New Mexico and went to Gadsden
  Schooled District and graduated from Gadsden High
  School.
• She has been married for 38 years and has 2
  children that went to Canutillo.

Julieta Melendez

• How was your experience at Canutillo High
  School?
• I hade a great experience at high school, I
  graduated in 1989. I had a lifetime of friends,
  caring teachers and a terrific counselor.
• How many years have worked for Canutillo
  independent School District?
• I have worked for the school district for 14
  years. I think that I am paying back my community
  for working at the CISD. I have worked for 12
  years at Canutillo Elementary School and 2 years
  at Jose Damian.
• Tell us about your family?
• Well I have 3 children they are all boys they are
  8,6 and 2.And I have been married for 10 years.
• What are your hobbies?
• I like shopping, playing sports, chasseing my
  children and watch my son play baseball.

Would you like to add anything else? I work with
very commended people. Instructional Specialist

Sonya Calvillo

• How was your experience as a student in
  Canutillo High School?
• I love Canutillo High School. I had a small
  classes and everybody knew every body. I had many
  good friends. I graduated in 1991.
• How is your experience at Jose Damian?
• I love working at Jose Damian. It is the best
  school! My friends kids come to Jose Damian
• How many years have you been working at the
  Canutillo Independent School District?
• Canutillo High School for 2 years, Bill Childress
  for 4 years, Central Office and now José Damian.
  That equals 15 years.
• Tell us about your family?I have a very small
  family. I have a baby girl who is 19 months old.
  My 3 sisters went to Canutillo as well. I am not
  married and my baby girl is the love of my life.
• What are your hobbies? I like shopping, sky
  diving, playing with my daughter, and eating out.
