Q2 What is the Preisach Model ? The Preisach
Model, while introduced to describe
ferromagnetism, was found to be an excellent
model for other phenomena such as plastic
hysteresis or hysteresis in currency rate
dynamics. Figures below illustrate the Preisach
Model. Here input x(t) moves along the x-axis,
and controls the point on the diagonal above
itself. Output y(t) is the area of the coloured
domain with respect to some density.
