Every Believer in Christ is indwelt by the Holy
Spirit today

• Jesus Promised the Spirit (John 1416-17) "And
  I will ask the Father, and he will give you
  another Counselor to be with you forever-- 17
  the Spirit of truth for he lives with you and
  will be in you."
• Believers received the Spirit (Acts 158) "God,
  who knows the heart, showed that he accepted them
  (Gentiles) by giving the Holy Spirit to them,
  just as he did to us."
• Every believer now has the Spirit (Romans 89b)
  "And if anyone does not have the Spirit of
  Christ, he does not belong to Christ.
• The Spirit lives in us (1 Corinthians 619) "Do
  you not know that your body is a temple of the
  Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have
  received from God? You are not your own.."

The Holy Spirits role in our Triune Salvation

• (Titus 34-6) "But when the kindness and love of
  God our Savior appeared, 5 he saved us, not
  because of righteous things we had done, but
  because of his mercy. He saved us through the
  washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy
  Spirit, 6 whom he poured out on us generously
  through Jesus Christ our Savior,"

What is our flesh?

• Flesh is here a reference to man unaided by the
  Spirit of God and inasmuch as man is a fallen,
  sinful being, flesh is opposed to the operation
  of the Spirit. (Robert Gromacki, Galatians).

Our flesh produces nothing godly

• (Romans 718) "I know that nothing good lives in
  me, that is, in my sinful nature flesh..."
• (Jeremiah 179) "The heart is deceitful above
  all things and beyond cure. Who can understand
  it?
• (John 663 NKJV) It is the Spirit who gives
  life the flesh profits nothing. The words that I
