Choose a simple polygonfor a base shape

• Choose a Square
• Choose an Equilateral
• Triangle

Draw a design into a side

• Choose simple design.
• Carefully cut it out.
• Slide it across to the other side.

Accuracy is vital!

• Tape the newly cut out design across from the
  original.
• Do another from top to bottom.

Finally.

• trace carefully onto heavy card stock and cut
  out.
• Begin tracing the image with repetition on paper.

Different Shapes Move

• Triangular and odd numbered sides rotate as you
  tessellate their shapes.
• Do a triangle, pentagon or heptagon for a real
  Challenge.
• Keep the designs simple while learning.

Look for Images

• Color or add detail to images you see in your
  tessellation. Does it look like something?
