Why is this important?

• The most recent hurricane season has brought much
  attention to issues with levee systems and
  flooding
• With current effects of Global warming it is
  important to make sure levee systems can
  withstand the forces due to severe flooding

What do we need to solve this problem?

• Force on a levee due to the rate of the rainfall
• Added pressures due to wind
• The height, thickness, and material of the levee
  and how much force it can withstand

Method

• We will use multiple equations to factor in the
  forces due to water and wind and show how close
  it comes to the levees breaking point
