The Relevancy of the Tabernacle

• Going to church is not relevant to my everyday
  life.

Did God need the temple?

• Consider the Lords response to David.
• 2 Sam. 75-7
• After Davids death.
• Meanwhile the people sacrificed at the high
  places, because there was no house built for the
  name of the Lord until those days. (1 Kings
  32)
• At the dedication of the temple.
• Behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens
  cannot contain You. How much less this temple
  which I have built! (1 Kgs. 827)

The Israelites needed the tabernacle!

• They were to follow the pattern. (Heb. 85)
• They had to give something for the building.
• And let them make me a sanctuary, that I may
  dwell among them. (Ex. 258)
• Jehovah wanted to dwell in their hearts.
• They had to learn to follow all His instructions.
• Nadab and Abihu learned the hard way!
• Reverence for ALL the word of God.

Why do we need to assemble and worship and work
together?

• We are the temple of God. (Eph. 221-22)
• We need to do these things!
• We need to give to the Lord and His work.
• We need to learn the discipline of worship.
• The purpose of assembly worship is edification.
• There will be teaching that is relevant and
  applicable to all areas of our lives.
• We are to teach the WHOLE counsel of God.

If we will not obey the Lord in what He requires
in the assemblies, why would we obey Him
in any of the other areas of our
lives?

The Relevancy of the True Tabernacle to Our Every
Day Lives

• There IS a connection between assembling for
  worship and living every day for the Lord.
• Consider the book of Malachi.
• Personal daily living eventually effects how well
  we worship together.
• Slothful worship leads to slothful living and
  vice versa.

God is relevant to ALL of our lives when we
determine on the basis of who He is, to do ALL
that He asks!
