The Uses

• The Romans loved to socialize and gossip about
  the latest news.
• They used the baths for purposes such as bathing
  and cleaning themselves.
• When the Romans went to the baths they were
  usually accompanied by a servant or two.
• Exercise was a large part of their lives and
  often worked out when they ventured.

Preparing for the Baths

• The Romans entered a changing room and got into a
  light robe.
• They would also use oils to cover their body with
  and relax their body.
• After they left the chamber a servant would use a
  tool called a strigil to scrape dirt off them.

The Bathing Hours

• The woman got less fortunate hours in the
  morning.
• Where as the men got the time after noon when
  they finished work.
