How was it formed?

• It was formed by erosion, volcanism, and
  continental drifts.
• Volcanism makes Grand Canyons by erupting and
  drying up and making more land.
• The continental drift is when the plates move and
  breaks which forms more land.
• Erosion makes Grand Canyons by water, ice, and
  wind.

When did this all happen?

• The earth was first formed at 5 billion years
  ago.
• At 1.25 years ago the first sedimentary was laid
  down.
• At 1.2 billion years ago the sea retreated
  leaving mud flats behind which eventually became
  the Hakatai Shale.

When did this all happen?

• 1.19 billion years ago a similar layer was
  deposited which is known as Dox formation.
• Volcanic activity 1.25 and 1.1 billion years ago
  and made Cardenas Basalts.
• 1 billion and 825 million years ago the Chuar
  Group formed.
• 5 million years ago Colorado plateau captures
  Colorado River.
