- Level I (Basic)
- Level II (Intermediate)

BBC Members Often we are asked how soon
can one progress to the next level. Quite a few
factors come into play for instance,
coordination, timing, cardiovascular condition,
drill speed (punching), etc. There are over 150
different boxing drills that are spread out over
Levels I, II, III. Not only must the individual
have learned mastered each of the steps/drills
before moving on, but much depends on how hard a
person is willing to work.
2Training - Level 1
- Introduction to boxing
- Proper fighting stance
- Basic punches
- Beginning stages of

- Basic jump rope routines
Level I is where your timing verses your
coordination is developed using varied types of
boxing drills. Balance awkwardness is
corrected/perfected before advancing to Level II.
Also, your conditioning must be at a high enough
level before moving onward. This is why it is
important to keep up with your cardio, as in jump
rope, sprints, jogging, eliptical, etc. Shadow
boxing on your own plays a big role in cardio
improvement. As your shadow boxing improves, then
occasionally shadow box with 1 lb. to 2 lb.
weights in each hand.

of your individual style.

It is at Level III that your power speed truly
begin to take shape. You are expected to perform
at least 6 3-minute rounds on the heavy,
double-end, reflex, and speed bags. You begin to
move more naturally and are developing advanced
combinations and counterpunching skills. You are
reacting more than processing incoming
information during partner drills and you begin
to be able to fight your way around the ring.
5Training Level IV

etc - Freestyle sparring will be supervised by 2

incorporated for enhanced training

only for those who wish to go that one step
further in testing their individual skills.
