Health problems of Henry VI lead to Rule by
Richard Duke of York
Recovery led to fight over whos to rule. Henry
captured in Northampton in 1460 by Yorks.
Henry lost rule in 1461 to Edward IV then ruled
again from 1470 to 1471
At the battle of Barnet, Henry is captured and
Murdered (May 21, 1471)

Margaret of Anjou, wife of Henry VI, led the
Lancaster armies and tried to help her son Edward.
Edward V and Richard, are locked in the Tower of
London and executed supposedly by Edward IV son
of Richard, duke of York.
Both Houses were related to King Edward III

THE LAST BATTLE
Edward V was to be coordinated on May 4, 1483. On
his was to London he was kidnapped by Richard who
also canceled his coordination. He was then
locked in the Tower of London with his brother
where they were murdered.
Battle of Bosworth When August 22, 1485 Henry
Tudor went to Wales and fough Richard for the
throne. Richard died and the Tudors took control
of the crown.
STOKE Yorkist attempt to claim the crown by
having Lamber Simnel impersonate the earl of
Warwick and claim the throne.

THE CHANGES
- Changes that came from the event
- Advancements in technology was cut off because
of lack of sea trade - New products were kept from England
- Servants were forced to fight in a war that they
could not be proud of

- We have learned from history and events like
these that the effects of civil wars. Events like
these are the reasons that we have elections.
- WHY WE HAVENT
- Many people today are stubborn just as the
Lancasters and Tudors were. - It was hard for Richard to give up the throne as
it would be today.
