LOCATION

• Laùng Sen is local name, local people named for a
  long time.
• Vinh Dai comune, Vinh Loi comune, Tan Hung
  district,
• Long An province

Lang Sen area is a vast area including two
comunes (Vinh Dai and Vinh Loïi, Tan Hung
dsitrict) swam area is about 9.000 ha. At
present it is divided into small areas for
agro-forest production. Land holdings by -
local people 2.500 ha
- Vinh Loi state-owned farm 1.500 ha -
Dong Thap Muoi ecological area 2.000 ha -
Taân Hung district 400 ha

  Committeee associated with the program of
  reforestation for the protection of the border
  (degree No. 1367/KH, 13/6/1994)

• It was expanded to 2,847 ha according to degree
  No. 15311/QD, 12/8/1994.
• The core zone was at Rach Cai He
• 2000.
• Long An People committee esbtalished Ecological
  Melaleuca Forest Zone included Tan Hung
  state-owned farm.

Who will manage in the future

• According to the degree No. 109/2003/NÑ-CP dated
  13/9/2003 issued by the Government about the
  conservation and development of wetlands
  emphasised that
• wetlands were said in the degree included the
  wetlands with ecological distinctions,high
  biodiversity, ecological balance, and be
  important to international and national.
• Degree No.109/2003/NÑ-CP, Prime Minister Phan Van
  Khai signedù

• 1) Ministry of Technology and Environment make
  the decision on establishment of wetland reserve
  at article No 2, 12 in the Degree
• 2) DOST and People Committee of Provinces or
  Cities belong to the Central Government executed
  the establishment of the wetland reserves

• conducting the survey, research and making
  planning on sustainable uses and exploitating of
  wetlands since then submit to Provincial People
  committee to issue the decision
