3Pace the speed you are running
Number in group 3 (same running
ability) Challenge Run around Wales 1. In
your group of 3, pick out 4 different points (at
least 100m apart) and around the edge of the
field/yard (eg tree, gate, fence, building).
This will be your trail/circuit. 2. In your
group, decide the start and finish position (this
will be the same). 3. Keeping together in your
3s run around your trail (finishing where you
started). Try to jog all the way around each
time a member of your team stops you must take
off 2 penalty points from your team score. Each
team starts with 8 points. Start on the
whistle. Tip - run at a pace which allows you
to have a chat with your team mates Alternativ

Challenge Going for Gold
- Start and stop on the teachers whistle
- In your group, run continuously (without
stopping) for 2 - minutes. Your group has 3 points.
- 3. Place a marker where you start and a marker
where you finish. - 4. Run at the pace of the slowest person and keep
together. - 5. If a member of your group stops or you split
up take away 1 point each time.

15Card Chaos
- Organisation
- Class split into 4 groups (hearts spades
- diamonds clubs)
- Equipment
- Cards for group
- Hoop ( x1)
- Activity cards (x20)
- Rubber spots (x12)
- Activity
- Class is split up into equal teams and placed on
outside rubber spot where team card is placed
(hearts etc) - On command one member from each team
runs/walks/jogs to central hoop and picks up
their activity card (a heart picks up a heart
card etc) Team member then has to do what is
written on the card (3x shuttle runs jump from
spot to spot as stated on card) before next
member goes. - Each team should keep a count of how many
shuttles they do - Winning team quickest/most amount of shuttles

- Pupils place themselves where they think they
- can cross the raging river without getting wet!

- Rope or chalk To account for differentiation the
rope/chalk - Should be narrow at one end widening at the other

- Cross the raging river without getting
- wet (look out for the crocodiles! and the crumbly
banks) - Begin with standing jump and develop to running

21Clean the playground!
On the whistle pupils throw as much rubbish
(balls, beanbags quoits etc) over the net into
the opponents half as possible.
