Major Characteristics

Stage 1 - Egg

• Briefly describe stage.
• Mosquito eggs do not eat anything.
• Mosquito eggs look like miniature grapes that
  have a slight discolor to them.

Stage 2 - Larva

• Mosquito larva eat by filtering the water for
  microscopic plants, animals and edible debris
  through brushes that surround their mouths.
• Mosquito larva are ¼ to ½ inch long or smaller.
  They move by vigorously wiggling or flexing their
  bodies. They look like tiny aquatic worms.

Stage 3 - Pupa

• The pupa does not eat.
• The mosquito pupa looks like a brown circular
  cocoon with a tail.

• Adult mosquitoes eat fruit and flower nectar.
  Females eat blood before they lay eggs.
• Adult mosquitoes look like a skinny fly with a
  snout for the mouth, thats where they suck blood
  or bite you from.

• Dragonflies, Damselflies, Water Strays,

  enemies of the mosquito.
