Requirements

• Each system will require different pieces of
  information, based on that specific system.
• Each project will include a few basic concepts
• Structure, Function, how to care for the system,
  how do drugs/alcohol/tobacco affect system,
  diseases that affect the system, and connect this
  system to two others.

• You need to become the MASTER of this body
  system. You need to know everything about it
  so that you can teach it to your peers.

Structure
It is when you body uses its own chemicals and
uses them to control certain functions, and the
mean system that coordinates these
chemicals. Health regulate mood growth and
development, tissue function metabolism, and
sexual function and reproductive process. Organs
Hypothalamus, Pituitary Gland, Pineal Gland,
Thyroid Gland, Parathyroid Glands, Heart, Adrenal
Gland, Kidney, Stomach, Pancreas, Intestines,
Ovaries, Testis.

Function

• The main function of endocrine glands is to
  secrete hormones directly into the bloodstream.
  Hormones are chemical substances that affect the
  activity of another part of the body (target
  site). In essence, hormones serve as messengers,
  controlling and coordinating activities
  throughout the body.

The Care of the Endocrine System

• Too much or too little of any hormone can be
  harmful to your body
• Doctors can often treat problems with the
  endocrine system by controlling the production of
  hormones or replacing certain hormones with
  medication
• To make sure that your organs are in good
  condition.

Computer Lab

• Each day in the computer lab, you can earn up to
  10 points. Every time we see you are off task
  (not working, talking to someone not in your
  group, talking about something other than body
  systems/health, or any other off task behavior)
  we will deduct the appropriate amount of points
  each time it happens.
• Thats forty easy points dont mess it up.
• Stay on task do your work, if you think you are
  done, you arent, you can always make it better
  by adding graphics etc
