experience more interactive. - It is good to see the professors' perspectives.
- I found these videos advantageous for the online
student because it was more conducive to a
classroom setting. - Very interesting and gives the feel of being in a
live classroom . . .able to hear different
opinions on issues. - It was very helpful watching the videos that were
related to the class assignments. - Both the roundtable and debate videos were
extremely easy to use and provided good insight
into their corresponding subjects. - These help me better understand the chapters and
the key information. - I like how it has the notes with important
information on the side while you are watching
the video. - All videos were fantastic and allowed each topic
to be discussed from each viewpoint but was kept
objective by the moderator. - Roundtables were good because it made me feel
much more involved with the debate. - The roundtables are a great way to hear different
points of view and get you motivated. - The debates were even more helpful as they
touched on great topics and allowed us to see the
points from both sides. Entertaining and great to

7PoliSci News Review
Student Comments
- I love it. It keeps me informed of what is
happening in the world. - I really liked this feature. I don't get a chance
to catch up on political news very often so this
was very helpful. - I found this feature a great tool to compel the
student to become more cognizant of weekly
occurrences and events in the news. - Very helpful on things that I had no clue about.
- I really like it a lot. It really got me to start
reading the news more!!! - I enjoyed the fact that we were up to speed on
current events, as these are just as important as
the events of our past. - This is very beneficial because I normally don't
follow politics. - The news reviews were interesting. They kept me
somewhat interested in the news a little more
than I would if it were my personal choice. - This forces me to read key articles which I often
don't do otherwise. - I think it's good in that I normally don't read
newspapers but this gives me an insight on what's
going on in the world at the time. very
insightful. - I was very glad that it was required because It
enabled me to read about current events and
issues that I may have heard about but was not
fully aware of the details involved. I think this
is a great tool being that many young people
don't really read the newspaper or a reliable
news source. - I am not really a newspaper reader, but
participating in the Polisci News I have learned
to read more. - The news review is helpful because the articles
are very informational and help students stay
interested in what is happening politically in
the news - Very good section. I love it when I can learn
from contemporary issues.
- Summary of Findings
- More than 2 out of 3 students indicate this is a
valuable learning tool. - Students Say . . .

- This feature has helped them stay current with
the news for the first time in their lives

Student Comments
- I loved these! They were SO much fun! It was fun
putting into practice what we were learning
about. GREAT IDEA! - Very fun. Especially when you play the part.
- The activities were very interesting. I like the
way we had a chance to put ourselves in certain
situations and make important decisions. - I especially like this part of the site because
it helps me to study for exams. - The activities were my favorite part of the
course. They took a different approach to an
interesting subject, and made it more applicable
to real-life situations. This made the subject
seem even more real than before. - I learned a great deal from these activities and
"bookmarked" for further reference the websites
that were given at the conclusion of the
assignment. - It really showed me how the theories we learned
are applied in the real world. - They were interactive which was great because I
had to make sure to pay attention to what was
going on . . . I think they are a great tool to
get students to interact with the material in a
way you couldn't really do in class. - Very good. The activities helped me with terms
and understanding the chapter. - It was fun to do and really useful to understand
the chapters. I really enjoyed doing these
activities. - This puts the information into context. While
they are fairly simple, they do aid in the
understanding of the subject. - I learned more in depth about the subject because

flash cards. Excellent! - The online quizzes help a lot with studying.
- I think this was a great tool and should have
been used more. - I liked being able to view the results of the

them to be graded by the instructor. - The quizzes helped the information stick in my
mind. - Self explanatory and easy to access. I have a
friend who gets really stressed out before taking
any quiz or test, even if she's prepared,
allowing an unlimited amount of time on the
quizzes as well as the chapter exams is great for
students such as her, and even for myself - I liked them a lot because if we make mistakes we
get to see the correct answer and use them as our
study guides. - liked these because they weren't complicated and
just to the point. The questions weren't
confusing. They were easy to understand. - These ensure your retention and understanding of
the events that you have just read about. - Instrumental in learning the material.
- I liked the online quizzes, because they were
