3Communication Process
- 3 step process
- 1st--Communicate with coach
- 2nd-- A) Request to meet/talk with athletic
coordinator head coach - B) Appeal to District AD
- 3rd--Request to meet/talk with the Principal
4Academic Eligibility
- Read the academic eligibility in the brown
information bulletin included with registration
material. - Must be making sufficient progress toward
graduation.
5Middle School Participation
- If no program exists in the middle school, 7-8th
graders can compete on the high school teams. - If a program does exist, 7-8th graders can
compete on the varsity(if they make the varsity
team)
6Transfer Rule
- 1st transfer is freeif the athlete is enrolled
in the school on the first day. - If the transfer occurs during the school year or
a 2nd transfer, the athlete must sit out 50 of
all varsity seasons for 1 calendar year.
7Physical Forms
- Doctor must use the High School League Form
- Physical must be updated every 3 years
- Must be on file in the main office.
8Summer Waiver
- Coaches may coach the high school players from
the 4th Friday in May through July 31st. - Summer participation cannot be mandatory.
9NCAA Eligibility
- 14 core class requirement for NCAA eligibility
- Please see your counselor for more information

10Drug/Alcohol Violation
- A student shall not at any time, regardless of
the quantity - Use or consume, have in possession a beverage
containing alcohol - Use or consume, have in possession tobacco or
- Use or consume, have in possession, buy, sell or
give away any other controlled substance
11Harassment Hazing
- Committing an act, that creates a substantial
risk of harm to a person (physical, mental,
intimidation) - Harassment, hazing, chemical, drug abuse all
carry the same violation penalties.
12Violation Penalties
- 1st violation 2 weeks or 2 games whichever is
longer. - 2nd violation3 weeks or 6 games whichever is
longer. - 3rd violation4 weeks or 12 games whichever is
longer.
