15Credit Options http//fmhs.lisd.net/counseling/cre
ditoptions.htm
16To do list
17Weigh your options . . .
- Will I play athletics?
- Am I in band, choir, orchestra?
- Would I like theater or art?
- Am I ready to start a foreign language?
- Should I complete my communication application
- and health requirements?
- Should I take Pre-AP classes?
- What do I do if I make drill team or cheerleader?
- Which courses are required for graduation?
- Should I take the World Experience course?
18- PAP and Leap English require a summer reading
project. The reading projects are different for
PAP and Leap! - Algebra 1A (.5 local .5 state) and Algebra 1B
(.5 local .5 state) . Your middle school math
teacher will sign your registration card if it is
recommended that you take Algebra 1A and 1B.
Local credits do not apply towards 26 required
graduation credits. - If a course counts in your Grade Point Average
and Class Rank, it will be in BOLD CAPITAL
letters on your registration card. Read about
Class Rank GPA in your Course Description
Guide. - If you check the Dale Jackson course,
Manufacturing Systems, on your card, you MUST
select an Alternate 18 week course or (2) 9 week
courses in case you do not get in this class.
Students are selected by a lottery system if too
many students sign up for the available slots.
TIPS
REGISTRATION
19- You cannot check off the following courses on
your registration carddrill team, cheerleader or
External PE. - If you are trying out for Rosettes or
Cheerleader, you must choose a full course load
and write at the top of your card which classes
you will drop if you are chosen for one of these
programs. To register for External PE, pick up
an application from your middle school counselor
or go to http//www.lisd.net/athletics/pdfs/exter
nalpe.pdf and return it to the athletic
directors office next to Goldsmith Stadium near
Lewisville H.S. on Main Street. This must be
turned in during the spring. - All sports on the high school level are
competitive and require a serious commitment. If
you have not been involved in the sport you are
choosing, talk to one of the coaches on your
campus and get their signature on your card!! If
the sport you play is not listed on the card, it
is offered outside of the school day.
TIPS
REGISTRATION
