INTRODUCTION
  • 13,500 ha near Nelson, along the North Shore of
    the West Arm of Kootenay Lake
  • founded in 1992 by Kootenay Lake Forest District
  • public concerns over conventional forestry
    practises in their watersheds and viewscapes
