So a Lithuanian, an Irishman, a Brit, two
Taiwanese, five Americans, and two dogs go
hiking Sounds like the opening of a very
politically incorrect joke, no? Nah, its just
the most recent event of the A-KICKING
ADVENTURE CLUB!!! We hiked at Turkey Run in
Virginia and then, thirsting for more, hiked part
of the Billy Goat Trail in Maryland!

We learned a lot on our hikes this weekend. To
sum up, you havent been a-kicking if you
havent
- Been on two hikes in two states on the same
day!!! - Heard your hike leader (Lee) say, I have no idea
where the trail is, I dont have a map, and last
time I was here it didnt look like this - Driven with Jack and Yuna from McLeanto
McLeanvia Key Bridge - Discussed the finer points of the Breton, Welsh,
and Anglo-Saxon languages on the trail (David,
Jesh, et al.) - Seen Jesh defy the laws of physics with a tennis
ball - Seen Annie plunge down a sheer 50-foot embankment
and into the canal to retrieve said tennis ball - Participated in a footrace on perfectly smooth,
flat ground, in which both runners inexplicably
fall down (Jesh and Dan) - Wondered what kind of bird sheds bright purple
feathers, in Maryland - Seen a family out hiking with their pet cockatiel
(incidentally not the source of the mysterious
purple feather) - Held a motion-sick, vomiting dog (Ty) out the
window of a moving car
