Title: OrthoScan Ltd. SpineScan Overview

1
OrthoScan Ltd.SpineScan Overview January 2007
2
SpineScan
3
Scoliosis
A lateral curvature of the vertebral column in
the coronal plane
4
Scoliosis Mode
One aspect of the scoliosis deformity is the
asymmetry of the trunk, which is emphasized when
the patient bends forward.
5
Scoliosis Mode
  • SpineScan quantifies the asymmetry by measuring
    the Angle of Trunk Inclination
  • Provides reliable guidelines for further
orthopedic evaluation in a screening process.
  • Can be used to record and follow up curve
    progression of scoliosis patients

6
Kyphosis Mode
  • SpineScan quantifies the asymmetry by measuring
    the Sagittal Angle
  • Provides radiation free guidelines for further
orthopedic evaluation in a screening process.
  • Can be used to record and follow up curve
    progression of kyphosis patients

7
Posture Mode
  • SpineScan provides a tool for quantitative
    assessment of posture asymmetries
  • Head, shoulders and hip asymmetries can be
    measured with SpineScan

8
Range of Motion Mode
  • Range-of-motion (ROM) measures are used to obtain
a record of the degree of permanent impairment of
    an individual
  • Spinal range of motion measurements are outlined
in the American Medical Association Guides to the
evaluation of permanent impairment (AMA Guides),
for assessing the percentage impairment in
    chronic low back pain patients.

9
Range of Motion Mode
  • SpineScan provides quantitative assessment of
    spine and head flexibility

Flexion / Extension
Rotation
Lateral Flexion
10
Cervical ROM
  • SpineScan is designed to measure cervical ranges
    of motion
  • Rotation
  • Flexion/Extension
  • Lateral Flexion
