7National Program for Integration NPI
- GoM adopted NPI on 5 June 2008, following broad
public debate process - NPI comprehensive strategic plan and five-year
legislation harmonization, administrative
capacities strengthening, including also number
of employees, as well as financial requirements
from the budget and from the EU support - NPI key Governments document until 2012
8NPI Objectives
- Defining strategic development objectives, as
well as relevant policies, reforms and measures
needed for the realization of these objectives - Establishment of detailed plan for legislation
harmonization and development of institutional
capacities - Defining human and budget resources, as well as
envisaging foreign support needed for achievement
of planned tasks
9Results already achieved
- Decentralization within the State Administration
almost 400 persons were involved in the NPI
development - Improved co-ordination of activities within state
administration - Improved approach to planning of legislation,
employment and financial requirements in a short
and medium term - State administration is better prepared for the
EC Questionnaire - Increased awareness that European integrations
are not only business of SEI, but of all state
administration institutions
