community - ORS test users consisted of 58 users from 6 NASA
sites including NASA employees and contractors. - All test users providing feedback recommended
that ORS be made available to all VoTS users.

determine if it will be available in the future.

maintained by WorldCom, unless instructed by
customer - Link-level encryption on dedicated circuits
between a client site and a WorldCom site is
technically possible
14NetConferencing Demonstration
- This workshop is being delivered using
NetConferencing - Each participant accesses the conference by two
methods - Audioconference accessed by a toll free number
and pass code - Presentation accessed through the Internet
15Instant Meeting
- Instant Meeting is a reservation system allows
VoTS users to schedule conferences using a
pre-assigned toll free telephone number and
personal identification number (PIN). - Instant Meeting is not an approved registration
method for VoTS. Participant feedback will be
requested to determine if it will be available in
the future.
16Instant Meeting Features
- May be used to schedule Unattended Level
conferences only - The conference is controlled by the conference
leader, not an operator - Provides call leaders with their own fixed
dial-in numbers pass codes for all future
meetings - No reservations are required
- Two pass codes are required to initiate the
conference - Leader Participant
17How Instant Meeting Works
- The VoTS user sets up a subscription with the
maximum number of ports required. - At time of meeting, your participants dial in to
the assigned toll-free or toll number and enter
the participant pass code. - The participants will hear music on hold until
the leader arrives. - When the leader dials in and enters the leader
pass code, the call will begin.
18Is Instant Meeting Secure?
- Yes! The dial-in number and participant pass
codes are useless without the leader pass code. -
- The pass codes are 6 digits (hard to hack), and
can be changed. - The call starts only when the leader arrives, and
ends when the leader hangs up. - If the leader doesnt dial in, the call
terminates after 20 minutes.
19VoTS User Feedback
- Do you feel that NASA should offer
NetConferencing for VoTS Users? - Would you use NetConferencing?
- Do you feel that NASA should offer Instant
Meeting as an option for reserving voice
conferences? - Would you use Instant Meeting?
