Pool Rummy is also called syndicate. It is a
multiplayer game that can have 2 or 6 players at
the table.

There are three formats of the game
3Major Difference between 101/201 Pool Rummy
201 Points The game pursues till all the
losing players cross 201 points.
101 Points The game pursues till all the
losing players cross 101 points.
4What is Best of 3 Pool Rummy?
Three rounds (deals) are conducted and the player
with the minimum points will be declared as a
winner.
5Uniqueness of Best of 3 Pool Rummy
- The players have to play all the three rounds.
- The maximum score is 80 points.
- There is a possibility of a tie breaker.
6Similarities of all the three formats of Pool
Rummy
- The player with minimum points is declared the
winner.
- The number of Jokers depend on the number of
decks.
- In case of 2 decks there are 2 printed Jokers and
7 wild card Jokers, based on the card picked in
the beginning making the total Jokers equal to 9.
7Drop Options in 101/201 Points
- Drop on the first move means getting 20 points.
- Drop after the first move, (middle drop) means
getting 40 points.
- At any other time, the player gets a full count
of 80 points.
8Necessities of a Valid Show
- There should be at least one pure sequence of the
two required sequences. A player can have 2 pure
, or one pure and one impure sequence.
- Pure sequence can not be formed with the help of
the joker.
- Other cards can be used to form sets and
sequences.
9What is a Valid Show?
The player who forms sequences and sets of all
the cards in his/ her hand makes a valid show.
10Scenario in Case of 4 or 6 Players
After the end of the deal the player who crosses
101/ 201 points is automatically out of the game.
11How is the Winner Decided?
- If there are 4 players the game will continue
till three players cross 101/ 201 points.
- The player below 101/201 points is declared as
the winner.
