  • Create Images (both exe img)
  • Using a DOS boot diskette created with Boot Disk
    Creator, type IBMaster at the F\
  • A graphical menu will appear
  • Select the radio button to Create an image file
    (upload)
  • Type the name of the image (keep the image name
    under eight characters for DOS naming convention)

  • Create Images (both exe img)
  • IBMaster creates both img and exe files
  • If you are going to copy the image to CDs, make
    the image a self-extracting exe file by placing a
    check in the box under the file name
  • Give as detailed a description as possible for
    later identification
  • Optimize for size and make Spanned media file
    size no larger than 625MB for exe files

  • Create Images (both exe img)
  • Click Next, then Finish to create the image
  • As the image is being created, the speed should
    be up to 100mb/minute
  • Completed images are stored in the Express share
    of Deployment Server
  • Images can be viewed either in the Deployment
    Server Console or through Windows Explorer

  • Select the radio button to Restore an image file
    (download)
  • Do post configuration is an option if you want to
    make computer changes as part of the image process

  • Browse to the Express share to find the image you
    want to restore
  • When IBMaster has completed restoring an image
    the computer will return to the F\ in DOS
  • NOTE Configuration changes can be completed
    manually after the image has completed
    downloading through Windows

  • IBMaster can be used for simple machine to
    machine imaging (master and client)
  • Using a DOS boot diskette created with Boot Disk
    Creator boot to the computer you want to make the
    master computer
  • At the F\ in DOS type IBMaster IT
  • This will load IBMaster and give it a session
    name T

  • IBMaster will wait until it sees a client before
    starting to image
  • Using a DOS boot diskette created with Boot Disk
    Creator, boot to the computer you want to image
    (client)
  • At the F\ in DOS type IBClient
  • This will load IBClient and wait for the image to
    be sent from the master computer
