  • Professor Howell (the author of your textbook)
has recently retired from our faculty and needs

  • Psychology, like other sciences, derives its
    knowledge from data collection.

Course Overview
  • But why do I need to learn about animal behavior
    and animal learning?
  • Humans are animals too and we learn a great deal
about human behavior from studying animal
    behavior
  • Some psychologists are interested in non-human
animal behavior in and of itself.
  • Animals cannot talk.. Some of the most elegant
and ingenious experimental designs are those that
    ask questions about animal behavior.
