Brick related aspects
- CS RD completed , facility ready,
- ? good example of a successful ( quick ) common
effort - ? collaborative commissioning work _at_ LNGS should
go on now - OPERA films still one year of heavy work at
TONO mine , but very good performances - ? hoping that the missing 22 will be funded
soon - LEAD the most severe problem we are facing now
- ? this may delay the full experiment no lead ?
no brick ? no events - ? concerned people in Europe and Japan have to
work in strong connection
- Brick processing
- marking, labelling and gridding ( Xray and
optical ) - ?RD completed , still a lot work _at_ LNGS to get
the facility ready - development not discussed here

Scanning
- SUTS big progress impressive system !
- ? last part (track processor) close to be
completed - ? hoping to see soon the complete SUTS at work
for physics analysis - European System in use in many labs in a
stable configuration since one year - ? great success
- But I would to stress 3 points which are worrying
me - Could we exchange emulsions from the bricks now (
already for PEANUT data ) - ? plate changer systems are different
- Could we exchange scanning data now ( already for
PEANUT data ) - ? data base status
- CS scanning strategy ( even for the 2006 run )
- ? common scanning _at_LNGS
- ? scanning separately in Europe and in Japan
- We should try to clarify those points at the next
collaboration meeting - PEANUT is also good example of a successful (
quick ) common effort
