Overview and Aims
  • Overview
  • Coursework-based module (no exam)
  • The coursework is to develop a multimedia
    database system
  • Students are required to attend lab sessions as
    well as read handouts, papers and software
    manuals

  • To provide an insight into the analysis and
    design methods applicable to multimedia systems
    development
  • To develop expertise in the use of these methods
    and associated development tools
  • To provide an insight into the workings of
    multimedia information retrieval systems
